A STATEMENT FROM THE MILTON ROOMS MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE

At the Milton Rooms we take the security of the public and that of the building very seriously, we have guide lines and policies in place that ensure that we operate safely.

Our door policy is simple, all customers will be subject to a search, at random, this will include clothing and personal belongings such as bags etc. If someone is caught with an illegal substance either Class A or Class B it will be confiscated and destroyed. The person will be banned and the police will be called and he/she will be arrested.

All incidents involving drugs are entered into a log book which states the day, date, time and quantity and type of drug seized.

We fully understand that certain people will endeavour to bring drugs into the venue, it is a problem all clubs have, but after working with the police they have advised us that we should inform our customers of the consequences of using or dealing drugs.

IMPORTANT NOTICE

WE WANT YOU TO ENJOY YOUR NIGHT OUT SAFELY AND FOR YOUR BENEFIT THE MILTON ROOMS HAS ZERO TOLERANCE TO THOSE PERSONS WHO DEAL IN DRUGS.

THOSE CAUGHT WILL BE ARRESTED AND THE CONSEQUENCES ARE SEVERE. THE MANAGEMENT IS LEGALLY BOUND TO EVICT AND BAR FROM THE PREMISES ANY PERSON BUYING, SELLING OR USING ANY ILLEGAL SUBSTANCES.

ANYONE WILLING TO MAKE PROFITS FROM DEALING DRUGS SHOULD BE PREPARED TO SERVE TIME IN PRISON. THE AVERAGE SENTENCE UPON CONVICTION FOR PERSONS CAUGHT DEALING DRUGS IS 3-4 YEARS IN PRISON. DO NOT THINK YOU WILL NEVER BE CAUGHT.
